I’ve outgrown the box I put myself in.
Funny thing is I didn’t realize it was a box until the walls began to close in.
All this time I thought I’d broken free of the things that had me caged
Only to find, this time I myself was the captor, my own puppet master.
Limiting my thoughts and quelling aspirations
Because beyond the known is uncharted territory
And I can’t risk another chapter of failure in my story.
But the box is too small and everything aches.
Instinct over logic is my only escape.
